Picnic Day

When picnic day comes for your family or friends, it's an exciting day. To make the most of it, you should make sure to plan ahead to best take advantage of all the effort needed to have a successful picnicking experience. This means considering your location, food, and accessories well ahead of setting out.

First, plan where you are headed. If this is a national park or a beach for example, you'll need to be aware of any regulations regarding where picnickers can set up. These include environmental and animal contact rules intended to keep the local ecosystem safe.

Second, get your food ahead of time, preferably the night before. Plan you meal to be a well-rounded meal that everyone will enjoy and will fill everyone up. Also, consider taking advantage of many of the fresh fruits and vegetables that are available during the Spring and Summer months.

Third, have all the accessories you need. Start with a good hamper and cooler (or even better a combination of the two) that can store all your food and dishware to wherever you're going. If you're planning on laying on the grass or beach, get a good blanket to keep yourself clean and keep your food out of the dirt or sand. If there's benches and tables already there, find a nice tablecloth to have a clean surface to eat on.

Once you have everything squared away, get it all packed up and be ready for a good day of eating and enjoying fine weather while you can.
