Picnic Accessories

Aside from having a place to go picnicking, you'll need some picnicking accessories. Of course, you'll need food, but you'll probably want to put this in something that will keep it fresh. Additionally, you'll need a place to sit, utensils to eat with, and ways to entertain yourself. Fortunately, all of these items can be found at reasonable prices from a variety of companies.

Starting from the top, you can put your food in a few different places that will keep it fresh. The most common is a basket of course. But there are also hampers, which can keep eating utensils like plates, forks, knives and so on as well. Coolers are an even better option as they'll keep the temperature of your food low so that it would spoil or go limp.

To have a nice seat, you'll either want a nice portable chair or a good blanket. Each of these items is easy to transport and most are very light. There are a huge variety of chairs, some with side tables and some that are merely a back and bottom support without legs. Blankets come in a plethora of styles and colors. The best are probably waterproof models simply for the assurance they provide, but also because they won't pick up grass, sticks or sand after using.

To entertain yourself, there are games equipment that are compact and fun. These can be field games like darts or horseshoes. Or they can be ball games like paddle ball and others. It all depends on what you enjoy. Or what you think you're best at.
