A company picnic is probably one of the most common events that brings together co-workers and their families in a relaxed fun environment so that they can better get to know each other and see each outside the strict setting of the office. Probably the most important consideration is to pick food that works for everyone. These days that can be a bit complicated, but the best idea is to go with an old-fashioned American food as your general choice. Burgers, hot dogs, and the like are totally acceptable. However, many dietary restrictions and lifestyle choices are more common these days so have a vegetarian option and a low fat option, which are conveniently usually the same thing.

Depending upon the role of the event, you may need to plan some activities. This will include stuff for both the kids and the adults. For the kids, think of games and toys that will entertain a variety of ages like Frisbees. As for adults, activities that work on teamwork, such as team sports or even classics like three-legged races are always fun.
